Neofinetia falcata, Amami Island type, 'Maplewood'

I have had this plant some 10-12 years. It is out of Cal-Orchids breeding ('White Tiara' x 'Crystal Palace'), it is somewhat slow growing, and it has very large flowers. I suspect it might be a spontaneous 4N mutation.

This year it missed the AOS judging at Parkside by one day (flowers were just opening on Saturday morning). These photos were taken on Tuesday, when flowers were fully open. In the last two photos, the dollar coin used for size reference is exactly aligned with the top flower.

I have tried to breed with it for years, but no pod has ever taken (neither as pod nor as pollen parent). This year I have tried again, using several known fertile breeding plants. If it still does not set seed, I guess I will have to accept that it is sterile.
