I am still searching for Neofinetia xichangensis, but even the Chinese nursery did not have that one.
I have been searching for a xichangensis for years, without result. Found one ones but turned out to be richardsiana. Don't even now if they exist because there is some serious doubt about them.

You really really need to tell is what you got!!! LOL! I too have been searching for xichangensis, but haven't come across any. Heck, I just got a Manjushage! I do have a Neofinetia richardsiana--a.very small plant. I have a plant from NWO named Shinsen--it is also a small, spindly looking plant. It was the first plant to bloom--end of January. Seed Engei sold me a plant that they simply labelled "Chinese Neofinetia 中国風蘭"

Sorry Dante for hijacking your thread!

Matt,

richardsiana = Not Shinsen Fukurin

Shinsen Fukurin = Chinese Neofinetia.Its the Chinese wild form. These have slightly smaller growths an the leaf color is more a grass green. I've had this one for over 10 years, untill I lost it last winter (bummer).

Both richardsiana & Shinsen are quite slow growers I find and a bit more tricky than the Japanese form.
