I hope the flowers will be blue, NYC! Eric Micahel, the vendor was unable to recall the plant's flower color. He was able to say that it had bloomed. I could tell that myself as several of the larger fans had stubs that appeared to be old flower spikes. If this plant follows the same growth patterns as Neofinetia, my Neos started growing a lot of roots, and then after a month or two, started growing flower spikes. I'm crossing all of my flanges this plant does the same.

Blue or not, I love their flowers

Whoooohoooo! My plant is spiking. There are three spikes, only two are as developed. The third, on the opposite side of the plant is in "mitten" stage.

It is difficult for my iPad to capture these two spikes. I hope this means these flowers will be dark blue. Can you see red dots and reddish leaf development? It is my understanding that this means the plant is getting a lot of light.

Two days later, the spikes are growing longer. The third spike has emerged from the other side but still a little too small to capture.
