Ascofinetia Moonlight Firefly is a Vanda
As a buyer of small Vandaceous hybrids, how am I supposed to figure out what to buy if everything is a 'Vanda'?
A few years ago this plant would have been an Ascofineria, but the new taxonomy rules makes it a 'Vanda'. Considering that it is 75% Neofinetia falcata & 25% Ascocentrum miniatum, I object to the new taxonomy rules.
Anyway, this is a first time bloomer with very good color. Can't wait to see it next year, when the 6-8 keikis should be large enough to produce spikes too.
I did not notice any fragrance which rarely carries over in this type of breeding.

I thought neo was changed to just vanda as well?
I hate all the name changes too. creates big mess!! lol
Anyways, that's pretty intense color and lots of orange hue.
All the ones I've seen were pale yellow.

Neofinetia falcata is now Vanda falcata. I'm not changing my labels or how I refer to them.

I know, right?
Calling my cute little neo vanda is very off.
Vanda always makes me think of gigantic plants with thick roots hanging everywhere. lol
