Ascf. Lion Star x Neof. falcata var. Amami

Here is a Neofinetia falcata hybrid. The Neofinetia falcata half of this hybrid is the regular Amami. The other half is Ascocentrum Sagarik Gold (primary hybrid of Asctm miniatum X Asctm curvifolium). I would like to acquire Asctm miniatum and Asctm curvifolium.

This will be the second Neofinetia type plant that will be mounted. Here is a picture of the plant I acquired from Kawamoto Orchids.

And when you are the only one to bid on their plants, like I was for this one, they are a really good value--free shipping via FedEx makes for an event better deal. I have noticed that they offer their plants in two ways, by bid or buy it now. So if you miss a bargain, you can buy it now for about $5.00 more.

I was actually bidding on the neo (I think shutennou crossed with something), but then it went above my set price and I gave up. lol

When I checked, the buy it now price is about the double at least? Well, still, it's all free shipping.

I just got an Asctm miniatum about a month ago, and a curvifolium last fall (curvifolium from another OB member who couldn't make it happy - still have to wait and see how happy I can make it ... )
We'll see how they do for me ...

Thank you all for your comments. The plant arrived yesterday 07/02/14. It was beautifully packed from Kawamoto Orchids. It is a big plant with lots of long roots. It is now hanging on my grid workshelves on my back deck. Thank you Kawamoto! You have beautiful plants--excellently packed--well priced--great customer service.

My neo (shutennou and Koto hybrid, but not from Kawaomoto) came in a perfect condition yesterday too!

I jumped because there was this big earwig at the bottom of the pot. but I quickly squeezed it to death. lol

Kawamotoorchids has a great selection to choose from, and all offered on EBay are free shipping, which for me is a valuable plus and a sort of built in discount. The plants I have received from them have all be first rate.

I've been trying to decide between a few different V.(N.) falcata as well as some hybrids. I just want to try a couple to see if I can grow them. There's way too many to choose from!
