First time blooming for this one that I got two years ago - it was just a small, single fan at the time.

Thanks for looking

Beautiful!!! and congrats on growing and flowering it.

Variegated leafed neos are on my wish list.

BTW, I like how that pot has nice big drainage holes.
Did you cut the holes or did it come that way?
If so, where did you get it??

This variety is one of the least (or maybe THE least) expensive variegated Neos, and I have had no trouble growing it along side non-variegated ones.

This is the pot it came in from Seed Engei (japaneseorchids on eBay) - all the small Neos I have gotten from them have been in the same (or similar) type pot. The bottom of the pot are also very free draining.

Gorgeous. Have you tried growing Neofinetia in traditional fuukiran style?

No, I haven't really attempted that ... I do have one somewhat mounded Neo - not a proper mound, but the roots were too long and fat to fit back into the pot (I didn't want to use a bigger pot), so the only way to fit it, was have the plant sitting above the pot rim - I worked moss in and around the roots above the pot

Thanks, Bud!

My monster Neo has just started to bloom on a couple of the 10 spikes it has!

I'm sorry your's aren't blooming this year. Honestly, I can't seem to get my other ones to bloom My big one blooms reliably and well every year. This one is blooming for the first time, tho I do believe it was likely too small to bloom the previous years. My others so far - zilch I am still watching a couple of nubs on a couple - hoping, tho not holding my breath, that they may be spikes ...
