No, I haven't really attempted that ...

I do have one somewhat mounded Neo - not a proper mound, but the roots were too long and fat to fit back into the pot (I didn't want to use a bigger pot), so the only way to fit it, was have the plant sitting above the pot rim - I worked moss in and around the roots above the pot

My monster Neo has just started to bloom on a couple of the 10 spikes it has!
I'm sorry your's aren't blooming this year. Honestly, I can't seem to get my other ones to bloom

My big one blooms reliably and well every year. This one is blooming for the first time, tho I do believe it was likely too small to bloom the previous years. My others so far - zilch

I am still watching a couple of nubs on a couple - hoping, tho not holding my breath, that they may be spikes ...
