rangiku, I will be looking into the possibility for the Google spreadsheet or something. Thanks for the tip.

Matt, I think the link you were searching for this: Google Translate
The info you gave above will be added. Thanks.

Also I think it will be helpful if some pictures were added in the future. This would really complete the whole.

I really appreciate all help. For the moment I keep completing the database I already have.
Please tell me what cultural or other info is missing in my database, so I can add.

Marc

Thanks, Useful stuff in there.
Google docs is going to be an option.
Let you know how it is progressing.

Question to all! What would be an adequate name for this database?

Well, for those of you interested, NEO-BASE is going to be reality. Thanks to the help of Hakumin the whole process is being speed-ed up and going to be an adequate source of info for those who cooperated.

Anyone, I need some help.

I'm creating an Access 2007 Database for easy access to all the info. I also want to use a possibility to add multiple images attached to the separate varieties but can't find the solution. Can anyone help? Please contact me

In addition I need pictures to go with the varieties. If anyone would like to share some I really appreciate it.
You can find the PRIVACY STATEMENT here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5q...it?usp=sharing

Thanks in advance

Here's a link to what the basic spreadsheet is looking at this moment (noon today)
I Know it looks a bit chaotic but when pored into A Access utility or html it would look more like this.

For those interested, The project is evolving nicely.
There are app. 570 varieties in it now. Thanks to all who shared their pictures with us.
However we"re still a few short. If you heve a picture of the missing variety or species, would you please share it. Pictures don't have to be of flowering plants.

Here's a link to the picture LIST at this moment.
Varieties marked with X have pictures already.

Furthermore I would like to express my gratitude to all the Neo-Lovers that were and are willing to help.

Here's a link to a TEST page on how a Neo-Base variety page could look like. Please advise on possible changes to be made before I start creating over 500. Please do not comment on correctness of info & pictures as I just filed in the blanks, to see how it looks. Suggestions are welcome.

I feel the layout is not soo pleasing in terms of quickly finding information about a plant. It might be better to arrange the info more into several columns and align them better that way. What I mean is that the most left column of information is very good, but then the other information is just about swimming everywhere else on the page... so maybe aligning it into a second and maybe third column might be better?

no complaints with the rest of the layout, it's already looking very nice

Maybe with plants with more special features than u can put in one single photo u could place some smaller images underneath the main picture? This way u could show for example a close up of nice pink root tips or a special variegation on the leaves that u can't really see with an overal picture? (ex. chiri-fu marbled variegation on a fugaku leaf)

good luck with the database!!

greetz,
Dries
