Hello luckygrower. Thank you for looking and commenting. I don't have any secret to growing Neofinetia and getting them to bloom. I followed the culture recommended for this orchid.
Having just one Neofinetia might be difficult to provide the culture they require, but it this seems to me an easy plant to grow. In the winter, I stopped fertilizing and let the plants stay dry over several days, I watered them early in the day and hoped they would just be damp by the time night falls. I kept a fan going intermittently 24/7. Day time temperature got as warm as 65-72*F and at night it got to 50*F. Winter light was in a western facing, glass wall.
This past few months as the temperature has warmed going into Spring, I have watered more frequently and started fertilizing very weakly. I have kept them outside taking advantage of rain and wind. I think the winter rest and the warmth of Spring have all encouraged the blooms.
