It only grew one spur this year but I still think the blooms are lovely.

Aw...thanks Matt. I love making those pots as much as the Neos.

Physically I am good the MD predicted 80% relief from the surgery I am grateful for that.

I love the coloring on the flowers.

I've wanting to get neo shutenno, which looks like this one in bloom.
So can you enlighten me on the differences??

One big difference for me this year is the price of the Hanakanzashi verses the Shutenno. Lol. The draw of the Hana is that it can give you 3 spurs like the Manjushage. Plus the coloring of the blossom is unreal with pink, red & cream. You also have those lovely ruby roots. When not in bloom the Hana's fans have great coloring as well with bits of purple & mine has slight yellow tiger veriagation. Sounds like I like this Neo

Shutenno also gives a colorful blossom and is relatively easy to grow and a much more reasonable cost.

Maybe someone else can tell you more technical differences.....at least I hope so.
