Very lovely plant and flowers RJSquirrel! Thank you for posting. I do not know if Asahiden bloom more than once a year. I own a Nishidemiyako that has bloomed every 5-6 months. I haven't seen any comments or information regarding bloom repitition. I have seen comments from other Neonistas advising that if the environmental condition are optimal, Neofinetia can bloom more often.

I'm still trying to figure out what the optimal conditions are to get a Neofinetia to survive my care!

All neos have the capacity to bloom 2-3 times a year in spring and into fall. It depends on the strength of the plant. The only exception are the beans and twist leaves which may or not bloom at all.

I see a broken link too.

Neos can bloom several times a year, yes... However I've also noticed that those that bloom once in the spring have a big show but those that bloom several times have a smaller, though more frequent, show.

I was able to see the image earlier, but now broken image icon. If I right click and choose open image in new tab then I can see it (in Chrome browser at work), however even that didn't work earlier in Safari browser (at home). I am able to view the entire gallery in either browser at: RKidKelly | SmugMug

Oh yes, very nice blooms and buds by the way.

I hope the new link works better ..I got a broken link too and it was my picture!!

thanks...I really need some more of these. I have a few Neostylis and Ascofinetia that do well for me. They all blasted the buds over the winter as most everything did...
