Default Vanda 'Green Light'

A couple of months after I started acquiring. Neofinetia falcata, I thought I would also collect hybrids. This Vanda 'Green Light' (Christensonia vietnamica x Neofinetia falcata) was one of the first hybrids I acquired.

This is what it looked like when it arrived 07/18/13:

Here it is today (05/19/14):

I do not know what Christensonia vietnamica looks like, but the plant is obviously in the Neofineta falcata family. I do not know if this bloom sized either. If you have one would you please share your experience and perhaps a photo?

I just got a dozen of them. Would like to know how close to BS they are, so any photo of a blooming plant would be welcome.

I almost bought that plant today over on firstrays.com. Should have bought it! Pic is from Ray's site under Plants.

How did you get it to come out like that group of photos? Thank you Sonja. I knew I would get a good answer. I've been trying to find someone with experience growing this particular hybrid. Does it have Neofinetia fragrance? I am growing it like a regular Neofinetia--high mound, winter rest, even using a Neofinetia plastic pot. The fans on this plant are growing as fast as the parent--the two, long leaves are what has grown this year.

Leafmite, if the blossom looks this green that would be super!

From those photos I would agree with the sellers, who state that plants are NBS in 2" pots. I potted mine up into 3.1/2" net pots, and hope that at least one will bloom this summer.

Next spring I will have no problems calling them BS.

If this stays as small as my other Neofinetia Tommy, you might want to add this plant to your Vanda collection. I would think it would flourish in Miami as it's other parent comes from steamy Indochina.
