The Columbus, Ohio show was pretty good--gorgeous displays (better than last year, I think, though people said things are blooming late due to the cold and dark weather), good vendors, and fairly heavy foot traffic consisting of both orchid club members and "civilians."
New World had a nice display showcasing their Neos as well as Den moniliforme and Sophronitis coccinea (I think?).

You are almost(?) equidistant from two shows, if you head northwest towards Detroit, Michigan, the Michigan Orchid Soceity's annual Palm Sunday weekend orchid show is being staged in Madison Heights, Michigan, this town is due north of downtown Detroit. Here is information on the show. New World Orchids, along with many other vendors will be there:

If you head east, on the same weekend, the SouthEastern Pennsylvania Orchid Show will be staged. This show will have many vendors including Seed Engei--a large Japanese Orchid vendor.

If you want to go further west, Central Indiana Orchid Society will hold its annual orchid show. My orchid society will have a display there. This is also held on the same weekend as the first two: April 11-13, 2014.

Oh no, there goes another perfectly normal orchid grower into the dark realms of Fuukiran growing! I'm afraid there is no going back!!
We need to form an addiction support group "Neofinetia Anonymous"
Welcome Catherine to the wonderful world of Neofinetia's
Regards,
Craig.

Neofinetia Anonymous, huh? Isn't that the group where step 1 is "buy more neos?"
Thanks to all for the welcome (and for being addiction enablers)!
Good thing all three shows Matt mentioned are on my coaching clinic weekend. After all, Indy is only four hours away....
