I don't think it knows what it wants to be.

Looks like it's trying to mutate! Haha, love the variegation though and from those pics, I bet the form on that plant's growth is really nice.

That's beautiful!!! Did Satomi have anything to say about what it's doing? It's definitely mutating or something, but to what?

Satomi didn't say Manazuru, Tamanishiki, Ginsekai or any other name, just that it's changing (I don't remember if she said "mutate"). And considering how the variegation is all over the place, I don't blame her. In fact, that's why I picked this little oddball up.

Maybe it's a new kind of mutation!! It certainly doesn't look like any of the known mutation I know of from Nohudemiyako.

Nishidemiyakos is one of the most mutatable variety out there... the only way to tell what it will change to is to wait till the fan growth matures (8-10 leaves) ... then see the leaf pattern, color of roots and leaf angle. Observe the next fan from that (the baby) to see if it replicates as the same ... if so, it has stablized to that form... For example it may change to ginsekai with upright leaves, but the baby after may revert back to nishi leaves... in this case its not stabilized... but the different varieties of leaves on one plant looks gorgeous! Would love to see an update of this plant after a few months!
