Great! We can have a little east coast Neo get-together then. You've probably far surpassed me in total Neo count; with today's expected two arrivals, I'll have 34. Or 35 if you count the baby Seikai that the mouse liberated from its mother plant.
I wish NWO and Orchids Ltd was also attending. That would be the ultimate.

NWO will be at the Michigan Orchids Society's Palm Sunday show that weekend (April 12 & 13 th). I thought I'd put that out there in case it was closer for the neo lovers on this board.

Wow jayfar, 34 in less than a year !! Me thinks you are quite fond of neo's . Come to think of it, I got my first ones almost 5 years ago now ! Time flies....
so... 34 a year times 5 says that I quickly need to find about 170 neo's to catch up ... or maybe just a few more then
greetz,

Hello Dries!
If you think that Jayfar's acquisition rate is remarkable, I agree. He has the uncanny ability to successfully win auctions and can purchase incredibly rare and special Neofinetia at the drop of a Buy List.
Dries, are you going to fly over to Philadelphia in April?

Thanks guys, but I must humbly state for accuracy's sake that Matt likely has acquired several times my total in a one month shorter span of time. On ebay alone his item feedbacks to Neo dealers going back to June 27 (no earlier stats available) total 83 plants.
C'mon Matt, how may? Fess Up.

LOL!!! Jayfar, there is NO getting around your diligent data recognizance. Okay, since my very first Neofinetia, excluding duplicate plants, until today when I received my Yaegoromo and Tenshin, I have amassed 152 pots of Neofinetia. That is 152 different named Neofinetia. I still do not own a Manjushage, Momohime, Fukiden, and Beni-missou. I confess that I am reluctant to reveal the height of my acquisition addiction, so please understand I am not bragging, just stating facts.
I would continue to buy more but I have run out of space. Speaking of which--I now know what the crew on the Starship Enterprise experienced when they had a preponderance of Tribbles!

Nah, Quay, in the final analysis, it isn't how many Neofinetia you own! It is what you do with the ones you have. Judging from your pictures you have shared, you do very well. I am fascinated by the names of these plants, and their history. I am not normally a collector of anything--not into baseball cards, stamps, or coins. But for some reason, collecting these plants is very satisfying.

I agree about the names and historic value, that's one thing that keeps me hooked. And the elegant culture of their display!
