Endless Summer: overwintering my Neos like winter doesn't exist
Default Endless Summer: overwintering my Neos like winter doesn't exist

Hey all! Been a while since I posted, but I figured now that I actually sort of know what I'm doing with these little turds, I'd share my setup with y'all.

I have my neos and a few parvis under 16 hours of light from a cheap T5 light all winter. I'm watering and fertilizing like I would in the summer. The neos are spiking and putting out new fans like crazy--just a few days ago I noticed that one of my Seikais is gonna bloom for the first time

Thanks for posting your setup, bispurious. Obviously your Neos love your care and environment.

By cheap T5, do you mean the ones you can get at Home Depot, Lowes, etc?

Nice setup. Thanks so much for sharing. Your Neos are certainly happy and you are a confident grower.

My setup is essentially the same as yours & the Neos love it. I added a cheap humidifier & a fan since they live in my dry forced air heat in the winter. I turn the heat down at night which is what I would do anyway since we are upstairs . I tried to figure out how to give them the dry cool winter rest but it just wasn't possible. I haven't been adding any fertilizer but roots & new leaves are developing anyway. I will just relax now that I see how great your setup is for the plants. Great job.
