Can do if you wish. Don't you think it is overkill ?
The plant is not that rare. The local orchid greenhouse has a few left and I saw more varieties at the yearly big orchid show.

I was thinking of breeding it back to a manjushage or hanakanzashi ... Imagine a triple spurred purple blue down the road??? Yummy

You are so lucky to have such choices! At our little show there aren't even any vandaceous orchids. I was disappointed to find so little available here.

The pollen is located in the column underside. Just above the lip ... If u stick your fingertip between the lip and column, the pollen should attach to it. What comes up is the pollen cap. Use a tooth pick to separate the yellow pollen from the white cap and store in a tissue paper and then ziplock bag, labelling the plant name and date. I would collect a few to store as they (ziplock bag) can be kept in a sealed container in the vegetable section of fridge

Hey,

The new spike is just maturing. When you wrote the last few flowers were withering. New spike should open in 1-2 weeks I guess.

Cool! The best time to harvest pollen is when the flower is at half life, and in neos it usually is 1 week... Good luck

These flowers last a fairly long time. I would say they are still fragrant and in top shape for about 6 weeks.
