Default Contorted and Twisted Neofinetia falcata

These are the five varieties in my collection that are described as twisted and contorted. Are there any other plants that you are aware of, NOT in this group? If you do, please post a picture and a name. Thank you.

First up is Daiseiryu 大青竜 "Large Blue Dragon"

Next is Seiryujishi 青龍獅子 "Blue Dragon Backbone Lion"

Here is Shachi-koryu 鯱甲龍 "Fabulous Armored Dragon"

This is Naniwajishi 南石井 "South Ishii"

Here is the Shishikouryu 獅子甲龍 "Lion Dragon Armor"

I still want a Daiseiryu or a Seiryujishi.

I think there is one on ebay right now but its not very twisted.

Do you know if the degree of contortion is based on its parents, cultivar or condition?

Hello AnonYmous that is a good question, and part of the great debate on nurture versus nature. I have not owned these plants long enough to answer your question. Check with me a year from now! Documenting their feature now will give me a good reference point to compare them.

Orchids Ltd has bigger Seiryujishi in their online store (listed as 4 to 6 growths) and I got a nice one from them several months ago. I want a Daiseiryu too.

I have a Setonotrugi, it is a mini I believe. No telling how many growths it has but it is growing in a 1 1/2 inch pot. Has about a 1" leaf span, I don't know if it will get longer leaves as the plant gets older or if it is a true mini.....Jean
