What does term 'Solid Base Variety' mean?

This may seem like a dumb question. It's occurred to me that I see the term 'Solid Base Variety' in many ebay listings as well as in the Seed Engei catalog, where it appears to be equated with the term Mujihagawari. What exactly does that mean?

Looking at SE's booklet and my romaji dictionary (and my magnifying glass), I'm gonna go with solid colored leaf, no variegation.

Muji=plain
ha=leaf
k/gawari=change

Those are the most relevant for the romaji. Many Japanese translations are dependent on the kanji (it gives context to the word).
