Unpotting Neofinetia/Sedirea over winter?

We have these wire racks behind our greenhouse that have clear covers over them and I was thinking about setting my Neofinetia "Mendenhall" x self and my Sedirea "Seigyoku Maru" back there over winter. From what i've read, where we live is fairly okay for them and since they're going to be next to the greenhouse, which we'll heat over the winter, they should be protected from any frosts but still get some chill. Also, the racks are towards the west with oaks over them, so they'll get light.

I was thinking that if i unpotted them over winter I could lightly mist them a couple times a week so they could be monitored over the winter and I would not have to worry about too much water staying at the roots.

But would this cause any serious complications for the plants?

I don't think its necessary to unpot them. If you can control the amount of water they'll get, then that's fine. I found that I still have to water at least once a week during the winter. I don't soak them through however, as I do during the summertime.

When my neo's got home, before being ready to pot them, I left them bare rooted and tried to mist them. But being bare rooted I noticed they dried out reaaaallly fast, so this might not be the greatest idea, u might be letting it dry out too much, or maybe the roots will get too cold and dry from just laying there..? I don't really know, but why unpot them? just don't water as often and try to water with less water so they don't get soaked as much?

I agree with the other posts. Don't bother unpotting them, just water less frequently.
