Neofinetia falcata 'Kujyakumaru' 孔雀丸 Peacock

I won this plant unexpectedly this week from New World Orchids. This was a horrific work day so it was a pleasant surprise to find this 'Kujyakumaru' 孔雀丸 waiting for me.

Like every order I receive from New World Orchids, Glenn and Kristen include more than the plant, but an added gift, a token of their kindness. Unexpected blessing and appreciated.

Packed very well and arrived in great shape, my plant was accompanied by a CD "The Harmony of Bamboo and Water," Relaxing Natural Sounds. The pot is also atypical, a terra cotta glazed ceramic pot instead of the plastic, slotted Neofinetia pot.

I now have a very short list, I wanted a peacock leafed plant, got it. Now I "only" have a Manjushage, a Fukiden, and a Mangetsu. (Why does the King of Neofinetia have a feminine sounding name and the Queen have a masculine sounding name?)

Thank you for looking and for your observations. WhiteRabbit, newworldorchids has been an eBay vendor for several years, but only recently started auctioning plants. When you see their listings, they have very few reviews.
