I was reading the sticky note about bean leaf plants. One of the last entries on that thread was a posting a link to a Neofanatic from Korea. I was so impressed that I thought I would repost that link. This Korean person must have the patience of a Saint to be able to get his (or her?) Neofinetia plants to survive on a rock!

Here is the link: http://blog.daum.net/okokooo/8480223

Here is a picture from the blog, I don't want to break any copyright rules, so if the original artist/Neofanatic sees this thread please know it is meant to honor you. This picture reminds me of s.kallima's execution of the same patient technique. There are many more similar photos. This just one of many that I happen to post.

That is gorgeous! It would make a great accessory in a bonsai display.

Fascinating, I would love to have the patience. Maybe if I installed a small waterfall in my home I could sustain this kind of mount.

That is a good idea my mounts just never made because I couldn't keep them watered.

Honestly I'm a little disappointed. And I don't mean to come off as mean or anything, but we are orchid growers. You can grow this. Sure there are things you'd need to do special but I am certain folks can do this.

I challenge all of you neo nuts to grow one of these. I'm going to.

Amazing display, btw. It's fantastic.

Mmmm, about a year ago (maybe longer) I bought a couple of slate slabs with the intension of growing neos on them. But before trying on the the slabs, I tried to mount a neo on a chunk of lava rock. It died.

Come February's big show, I'll pick up a couple or more furans/Amami form plants to try again (along with another Sedirea and others).
