Opinions on Daiseiryu mount
I'd like opinions on mounting my Daiseiryu. Should I mount it on the end of the gnarled branch with my Naniwajishi, or mount it on the piece of pumice in the next picture? Option three is to just mound it in a black plastic Neo pot. I'm open to suggestions.
Pictures attached.

I vote for the rock, I like seeing orchid roots crawling over rocks. I would use a thin layer of sphagnum, live mosses over that, and the plant fastened on top. If the rock is soft enough you may be able to use 'staples' made from steel wire to pin everything down. Cool project, keep us posted!

And to add, after you mount it, send it to me.
I've been looking for a nice Daiseiryo to be a big brother for my Seiryujishi (I understand, per a Seed Engei note, that Daiseiryo is a larger-leafed variant of Seiryujishi). Seed Engei had a couple Daiseiryo listed on their August list, but I think they may be smaller than the one I didn't get on ebay recently.
Oh, yours is the same Daiseiryo that I failed to bid on. Hehehe. On a hunch I just went back and looked at the ebay listing photos.

Yes,Jayfar, that is the one. I am waiting for some live moss to come in to mount it. There is a recently resurrected thread with a beautifully mounted plant with live moss. I hope mine will look as good one day.
