Gypsum and Epsom Salt
I went to the grocery store and found the smallest bag of Epsom salt. It cost US$1.09. I have my Neofinetia in nursery trays, so I watered today's set of twelve. I have not found a local source for Gypsum but I did find a pound bag available on Amazon for US$4.00, ordered it and I should have it by Tuesday, September 11. It was offered as a supplement to beer making. This was the smallest size. I found 25 pound bags available in the garden section. So you either make beer or you farm with it.

Awesome, thanks for posting a question about this, I was wondering the same things, after reading another thread, probably the same thread as you were!
@Jayfar - how do you go about getting a tap water test/analysis done? I still haven't figured out how to find what is in my water... Still not quite sure of the source, but I will ask my parents tonite at dinner if they know... But ppl keep saying how you can just look it up online, and I can't find it So, it'd be nice to get a test done

I used J. R. Peters, a Pennsylvania company also known as the manufacturer of Jack's fertilizers. They'll send you test vials, padded return envelopes and instructions by mail. After they receive your sample, their turn-around time is generally just a couple days. Costs about 30 bucks for a water sample.
They were very responsive about answering my followup questions for help in interpreting the results.

The Piedmont and Outer Banks are pretty large areas, but there is public water quality information available. Dare County offers water quality testing: Water Department Frequently Asked Questions
All public water supplies must test their water. Results are available through your city's website. For example, you can get the quality of Kannapolis, NC through: Water Quality and Supply | City of Kannapolis Download the water quality report from that page. Other cities and towns that have public water supply will have similar information.
