Yes, maxillaria tenuifolia, I didn't write the name as I was too lazy to look up the correct spelling. if you find out how to get it to bloom let me know. I so want to tell my daughter it is blooming. I have been hanging with this guy for 3 yrs as well. I have started yelling at it.

Someone in my OS kept a plant for 12 years before it bloomed. Made sure it got a ribbon when it appeared this summer on our show table.

I will turn 70 in a few days, lol, I don't think I have many years like to wait for a bloom.

I gave my Max. tenuifolia away, it was a stubborn space hog and the flowers were not attractive enough for the size. I got it to bloom a few times, HUGE plant only had three flowers. Idk if it bloomed because seasons or because of something I did, but I didn't water for a month and then I noticed flower. Probably no the safest strategy though!

Hopefully yours blooms! Mine had exceptionally large flowers but there were so few it was pathetic!

Turning 58 myself later this month and I'm counting on at least a few more good decades. Having interesting hobbies tends to keep one young or so I've heard.
