NWO Planning A Visit to Europe -- Early September 2013!
I've been reading from other posters in Europe how expensive and difficult it is to acquire Neos in Europe. Here is another opportunity for Europeans to get these plants. New World Orchids is accepting pre-orders, so if you email them what you want they will bring your order with them--I suppose for you to pick up. I do not know where they are going to be in Europe--I'm just passing along information from an email I received from NWO last night.
NOTE: I am not affiliated with NWO, neither did they ask me to post this information. But I am a very happy customer. And it is my goal to spread Neofinetia fever to all continents of the world. My ultimate goal is to be able to buy a Neo wherever I shop for special plants, and not to have to go broke doing so.

In the past they will post out to you, you don't need to collect them, they usually come to England in June/July and will post them from England and charge you postage from England. Not sure where they are coming to this time, and whether they are planning to post them in that way again.
The catch is that on their previous annual trips they have required $150 minimum order value to do this.
There is anouncment that they are taking EU orders for their September trip on this facebook page. There is a deadline of August 28th for orders.

Our member Camille asked against that facebook post about the $150 minimum and I've just seen that they have confirmed that that WILL be the case.

Gosh Rosie, I did not really know the terms & conditions or requirements for participation. I was reacting to the email from NWO and reading threads from Euro people. Thanks for that information. My problem is that I can easily exceed the $150 minimum, for example I really want a Manjushage, but for one plant, one growth US$325. I need to sell some shares of Berkshire-Hathaway!!

I only know because Camille told me. Wow, don't think I would every pay that much for one orchid!
Luckily I've not got in to Neo's yet!

It only takes one or two plants in full bloom before you fall under the Neofinetia spell! For me? I saw several pictures on this board from folks like Jayfar, Pilot, Red Orchid, JeremiahC, Call-Me-Bob, Rangiku, LinhT, Joyorchids, Sjalala, DelawareJim-->sorry if I miss anyone! Then I started reading about this remarkable plant and I was totally caught with its history, its presentation, and what people have done with these plants over the centuries.
People in Japan have been cultivating these plants long before anyone dreamed of the United States of America!! Okay, I'm getting carried away....
