Funny you ask... i made another box much like this one but decided the wood I used was too thick and thus too heavy and it's not being used. I made a few design mistakes on it. I'm going to dismantle it and make it a solid wooden box that will unfold completely-- designed to carry the plant wherever you want but not suitable for display. The goal is to have a box that will insulate the plant from any outside extremes like hot or cold or wind and still allow me to take a plant to work to display in my larger box. I wanted a box I could carry discretely and easily but I'm not sure that that is possible using glass, wood and hinges. It's mobile enough but not for every day. I don't keep my plants in the office over night.

Oh heck yeah... I work in an office and trust me there isn't a single interesting thing in the office-- mostly beige or something along the color spectrum that is very close to beige. Ugly.
So my neos and seds will come along now and then-- espeically is in bloom.

Where I work it is similar. Beige, beige, beige with some occasional tan. The patients rooms are pure white and have a dizzying array of monitors, machines and pumps. But there is a little alcove between the halls that has giant picture windows, and I will go there if I have a few minutes to take in the sights outside.
I have thought of stocking that area with some orchids. It faces east and gets a glorious amount of morning sun, but the hospital air is so dry, I am not sure it would work.
Trucking them to and fro with a box similar to yours might work though! Its a fine idea!

The box was easy to build and if I had more time, i could have theoretically completed it in two days (and this accounts for staining and poly dry times) but I have very little time these days. I'm wondering when it'll slow down... Probably never. lol
Joy, my wife and I own 3.5 acres outside of Parker, just north of the Pinery, west of the county line. It's in a place called hidden village, which is an ironically appropriate name as no one knows it exists... we joke that we live in the Shire. anyway, the house was built in 1975 and when we took ownership, it had not been lived in or cared for for 5 years-- never remodeled or updated, either, and so we spend a lot of time doing just that. We are just now finishing our kitchen which is crazy because it used to be this vibrant 70's orange. It's now black and white countertops and cabinets, and the walls are the natural wood the house is made of (it's tongue-and-groove construction so think log house without the crazy roundness of logs). We did everything ourselves except the electrical (I can change switch or add an outlet but this was some big stuff so we contracted it out) and the countertops, which is black quartz. We did everything else (yes, i did the plumbing!). Anyway, all that to say, our little plot of land and house keeps us busy. Add to that our flock of chickens, a four year old girl, a small dog and an 800 sq foot garden, there's plenty to do.
Whats worse is that my chids have been badly neglected... *gasp!* I know... I'm a bad chid owners.

I like your neo transport unit! If I can provide a suggestion. Maybe put a handle on the top along with a lock so that you can carry it more easily?

Yep it actually has a handle now, since taking these photos. I couldn't find what kind I wanted at the time.

I have a large garden too. It seems that either the chids or the garden is neglected, but I refuse to feel bad about it. I just try to enjoy them as much as I can. The girl, the dog and the chickens, on the other hand, deserve all the attention you can muster. Why not add a goat to the mix? If we were zoned for it here I would get one in a heartbeat!
