Hi Ginger. I did remove the plant from its mound. The roots where half and half--half were green and viable, the other half were dead roots. I cut out the dead roots. I dipped the entire plant in Physan 20. Then I repotted entire plant for loosely mounded in a smaller net pot. I noticed there was a very small red bud at the base of the mother plant. So I think that is a new growth. Some of my other Neos were showing smaller buds. This gives me hope, the plant will survive. I am in touch with NWO.

The more I have examined this plant and as I have compared this plant with others, I'm convinced that something happened to the new leaves on all three of the growths. The mother plant's central leaf acted like bud flower blast, and the two small growths are brown, like they already blasted. The plant did have beautiful flowers. Since you have this plant, aren't the blooms delightful?

I know what you mean about going away and leaving the Neos behind. I hope you have a very safe trip, there and back Ginger. Bon voyage!

Funny you should say that because there is one Neo with a new baby spike I was considering taking with me to protect that spike. Darn it all I am going to take it. Thanks for telling me about the Japanese now I don't feel so weird.

Red, now you need to build a special carrying case for it.

Hahaha....now you are messing with me but it is okay I have earned it We are driving so it will sit in a stabilizing box on the floor next to me. My one concern is that since I am visiting my orchid loving daughter that she will confiscate it. I better bring one as a gift for her. Oh the problems

Somehow I would have already guessed you'd built such a thing, especially knowing you were taking one to the office.
