I have read the same for green blooming Cyms, so seems reasonable it would apply to Neos. For my green blooming Cym, I place it in shade when buds appear.

There is a small growth apart from the main plant in the pot, if you are interested in a trade, PM me
Thank you but I'm not sure I have anything left that you would want to trade for I thought most of what I have, you have as well already?

I sure have, Jeremiah. I've tried high light, low light, medium light, low temps, high temps, etc. I think this plant is just not true to seed. Oh well..

Sorry to hear that, Tracy
It does sound like it is not a true Kishu-Ryokufu. That's always my biggest fear when buying flower-type Neos. Especially expensive ones!

Does Kishu-Ryokufu tend toward reddish-purple leaf coloration? There is one listed on ebay by newworldorchids that has extreme reddish coloration, but that doesn't appear to be the case with several other Kishu-Ryokufu that I've found pics of. Maybe this one specimen was just kept in a spot with very intense light?

Neofinetia Falcata KISHU Ryokufu 7 Growth with Spike | eBay

In spike, by the way, and already bid up from 65 to 112.50. I haven't bid on it.

I saw that Neo as well and did the search also and discovered the same thing about the leaves. I am one of the bidders but I didn't run it up the original bidder started with a hefty bid they are in it to win it. I am trying to use some self control and just let it go but we'll see.

I thought maybe that was you (by the feedback score). It looks like the original bidder had it set to automatically bid all the way up past 112.50 (when you click on show automatic bids, the time stamps are mostly the same as their original bid).

Funny how we all know each other's buying IDs on ebay we are truly a family.....I love it. I suspect the bidder is willing to go much farther than I am I just stopped....for now. lol

Ginger, if you don't win this plant, you might want to see if NWO has another plant or two of this variety. If I'm not mistaken, it is over here:

Wow....thank you so much Matt so thoughtful I think I will check with NWO and let this go because I really dislike these bidding wars on eBay. It's like a divorce...the lawyers are the winners in this case it's the vendors.
