Thanks for all the well wishes, guys and gals.

Ryan, all mine go through a long winter rest so come spring they put out lots of new growth. Come summer, they start to bloom. The ones that had on every growth but still made it through winter, have put out new roots and fans already. This Benitengu was a division I got 2 seasons ago and I'd waited 3 yrs for it because it was a rather slow grower. So considering it got it's winter rest, still did not start new growth by now and is a slow grower to begin with.....

I'm not confident that it will start new growth after blooming. If it miraculously pulls through, I will need to purchase a custom made Ryan Pot for it.

Tracy-- got it... I understand now. I guess my conditions are different enough from yours that I manage to get more growing in and less rest (hey, that sounds familiar... as in, I do a lot but sleep very little!). I grow in my basement (likely surveilled by the DEA) and I can manage 65 at night for the winter rest. Perhaps that is not enough... but my Amani (or is it Amami?) Island clump suggests differently as it has grown and flowered for two years on now.

Either way, beautiful flowers! How do these plants have such addictive properties, I'll never know, but I shall not resist.

I'd love to make a pot for you. Just let me know if you'd ever like one

Some more in bloom...

Asahiden & Tenkei fukurin

Benitengu (buds are dark pink and open to a pinkish violet)
Kinkounishiki (2 of the smaller growths are all yellow and grow oh so slowly)

And some Dend moniliforme that took a lickin' and kept on tickin' after they defrosted.

Gosh, Tracy, I wish my unfrosted Neos and Dens looked and bloomed as well as yours.

Are two of the Dens. Hakuunryu and Benibotan?

Adrienne, perhaps the threat of impending death encouraged mine to grow a little better than before? I'm not sure if you are able to put yours outside, under 70% shade in the Summer but if you can, do try it. I think I've gotten better growth on mine since I've had them outside in the shadehouse.

I lost many of the tags on my Dend mons so can't recall if those are the names. I only remember that the one in the last photo is Tsuruhime and the yellow/green variegated one is Koganenishiki (a bonus plant from Glenn back when I got my first few Dend mons). He's a very kind, generous soul.

That he is, Tracy, that he is. The past two years he has give us $300 worth of Neos, moniliforme and sophrontis for a $100 check. And doesn't charge us for shipping.

Thanks for the growing info and IDs, Tracy. I may try putting my Neos out next summer.

A few more...

Setsuzan

Kuro Shinjyu

Akebono

I watered with tap water last year and now have all that calcium build up on the leaves. Need to get some lemon juice to clean it off.

So great, Tracy. Look how well your Setsuzan bounced back and the Kuro Shinjyu is absolutely adorable. Love the curled spur. Need to add it to my list.

Man, I got an email notification today with updates from your Flickr. Saw your kuroshinju and ohhhh man. That's beautiful. Kuroshinju was the first neo I fell in love with and the whole reason I got into this hobby (addiction).

Your survivors look AMAZING. I'm still in awe of your Kinkounishiki, truly magnificent. The scent must be heavenly with that many flowers. I really need to know your secret to these guys. My neos flower but I don't get the amount I get compared to yours is shameful! LOL.

What is the key to getting so many blooms? Colder winters? Fertilize regularly during growing season? Other? I must know!

I can't stop being in awe. I bow to you, Queen of Neofinetia! Hahaha
