I was hoping to be relieved that you outbid me. Oh well.

Thanks!

So what all did everyone here snag tonight?

There's more for tomorrow night. I was looking at that Amanogawa. Is that normal form for that one the way some of the leaves are partially folded in along parts of the center or is that considered a defect? Wondering whether there's a cultural cause, such as not enough water and/or light.

The folded leaves don't look abnormal to me, but the black spot on the left and the markings on that leaf below look suspect to me (guignardia?). I would avoid this plant which otherwise has very nice white tiger markings...

Hmmm, good point about the black spot, although I'm not sure if it's guignardia; I'd expect to see it on more than one leaf and the other marks look more like mechanical damage. Could always remove that leaf proactively. I'll likely pass on this one anyway for budgetary reasons, although I do like the variegation.

On the other hand, the description for Amanogawa on Orchids Ltd.'s site says:

Quote:
'Amanogawa', translated as 'Milky Way', is a white tiger spot variety.

This variety commonly gets brown markings on the older white tiger stripe areas.
That reminds me I should submit my amazon order for the Cleary's 3336 and Mancozeb for my few spotty-leafed Vandas.
