That particular plant in the pic is not doing a thing to make me want it for any price for it. I would like to see a more mature version I think I'll check online to see what I can find. Will get back to you guys.

Jayfar and Ginger, I'm looking at Seed Engei's photo and see green base. But in your picture Ginger I see purple/brown base--which is similar to what is up for auction on eBay. Seed Engei's description resembles the photo you posted and what is up for auction BUT this photo from Seed Engei does not look like either plant. I like the plant you posted Ginger, but I do not think I can afford it for $500.00!

I'm likewise unimpressed. I see from an old ST posting that Hakubotan was in the top row of the 2005 Meikan chart. No idea where it's currently ranked.

The seller yonex1028 apparently sold a lot of fukiran on ebay in years past, going back to 2009. Also has listed an itty bitty Maizuru bean leaf with a starting bid of just 29.99.

I just got the October spreadsheet from Seed Engei and they have 3 Beniougi listed, 2 @ $50 ea. and and 1 for 120.

Also variegated bean leaf:

緑彩宝 RYOKUSAIHOU 800 1 variegated ryokuho

大将軍 DAISHOGUN 700 1 variegated tamakongou

Also, I see orchids_limited added a bunch more buy it now selections last night, in addition to those they added a few days ago.

I am shocked you haven't figured out who yonex1028 is yet
You have mentioned here here before. She has a plant that is extremely expensive and on your wishlist

She's also a good grower and has all kinds of very rare varieties.

Ah, I know who she is now. Neokate on OB and katiechai2 on flickr. She has the Kinkirin (which she obviously isn't going to try to sell though).

The two NWO Beniougi just ended, the one with the seed pod went for $112 and the flower only went for $97. Success Ginger?
