I'm glad I was busy doing other things and forgot about the auctions. I had my eye on a couple.

As for myself, I was the sole bidder on the very small (3 leaves) Beniougi for 34.99. I was just itching to buy something, since I've abstained the past few weeks.

Neofinetia Falcata Beniougi

Yeah, I know it's very small, but once in a while it's nice to start with a small growth and take on the challenge of nurturing a plant to grow it bigger. Plus, as I said, I had an itch to buy something.

Anyone else here get anything from tonight's auction?

That is a good point Jayfar. I was going to keep my plants in a homemade greenhouse--four plastic shelf stand wrapped in thick, clear plastic in my screened in porch but then realized the plants may do well, but it would be too cold for me to stand outside of their enclosure. So I converted my west facing bathroom tub into their home for the winter. This space gets to be as cool as 50*F but due to the skylight above and glass brick wall, it warms up during the day to 65-70*F. I have an oscillating fan circulating the air. This space was just one big waste in the winter time, now I have a good reason to use it.

That is one of my home made pots I put together quickly for it. The Neo looks really sturdy & hopefully will develop more color in time.

I am a proud owner of a Red Orchid Neofinetia Pot. If you clicked on Ginger's flickr page to the right of her potted pictures, is the pot she made especially for my Higashidemiyako 東出都 "East Side of Kyoto" plant. In fact, it will be on display at the Three Rivers Orchid Society Orchid Art show, Nov. 2-3 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

You are being too modest Ginger, your pots are GREAT!

That Seiou-Nishiki is tempting. I would definitely jump on it Jay! It has excellent variegation. Alas, I need to save my pennies for Christmas!
