The magazine had n article authored by Peter Lin, not the Phalaenopsis guy.
My copy has a different plant on the cover, but I see the Renanetia Sunrise inside on page 475 with Lin's article "Neofinetia falcata and its Hybrids". Nice!

The article includes a ton of pics, focusing on the flowers and skewed toward the hybrids.

Absolutely correct, Jayfar. The cover is of the Nakamotoara Newberry Apricot 'Diamond Orchids'. In my mind's eye, I thought these two plants were very similar. Looking over my plant list, I now have both!

Is anyone bidding on the suikaden? I don't wanna bid against any OB-ers, but if none of you are bidding, I'll jump on it!

Not me; I got a nice single growth one last week.

You notice they have a choice of $7 Priority Mail shipping or $20 One-day Shipping (USPS Priority Mail Express®) for this. I wonder why they only offer that option for a small percentage of their plants.

I like the Express when available, as not only does it arrive in one day, but is also also usually delivered before noon. Regular priority mail takes 2 days and usually comes in the late afternoon where I am. And of course, though we have to be very patient to see actual growth, some of us are very impatient about receiving the goods - instant gratification and all that. Plus, of course, minimizing the time bumping around in a dark box is a good thing.

Not me, it's a nice plant, go for it but if you miss it Satomi had plenty of those in her August catalogue for $20 (single growth I suppose)

I'm going for it! Thanks Kallima, I'll keep that in mind if I miss it. I've fallen in love with this one. I find it hard to shop at NWO because of the website format it's hard to look at the pictures quickly and see what jumps out.

Excellent Quay! You even beat out some long time buyers and very good value. Congratulations!
