Aw man, don't make me chase after the Manjushage just to make sure someone on OB Team Neo wins it. Too much money for me right now.

Yes, picking them out in person is much preferable. I'm already looking forward to next spring's SEPOS show, but even there I'm only going to see a subset of what SE has.
Maybe in the distant future greenhouses will have remote control video cameras allowing us to peruse an entire greenhouse via the Internet. That would be a cool way to shop in lieu of actual travel (some of us don't do airplanes).

Jayfar, I think you would enjoy visiting New World Orchids. I think they have over a thousand Neofinetia. Glen and Kristen are very hospitable, and very knowledgeable about the plants that they vendor. You are only 587 miles southeast of Manchester, MI. Talking to Glen and listening to his experience is like being in the presence of a master grower. Kristen, his prodigy, is also very informative. Kristen is known to us as 'biochick'.

Huh, I wonder if satomi would be willing to FaceTime or Skype if you're picking out a more rare neo?

What the hey?!? I won it? My max bid with about 30 seconds remaining was 143.59 and I wasn't going to go higher. I was sure you'd bid at least 145.

LOL Jayfar. I'm relieved you got the Manjushage. I have bid on practically every Manjushage Seed Engei has auctioned. I stopped at $135 because I had already won three other auctions. You must post a picture when you get this plant and when it blooms--I hope it doesn't blast on you.

I was hoping to be relieved that you outbid me. Oh well.

Thanks!
So what all did everyone here snag tonight?
There's more for tomorrow night. I was looking at that Amanogawa. Is that normal form for that one the way some of the leaves are partially folded in along parts of the center or is that considered a defect? Wondering whether there's a cultural cause, such as not enough water and/or light.

They could put videos of the plants for sale online right now...really good close 360 shots of the plants. That can be done easily and would help sales especially with the expensive Neos.
Matt do you have pics of your visit to NWO?

Ginger, I took lots of pictures. I'm trying to organize them now. I'm doing a write up on my visit for my orchid society's newsletter. I'm trying to get more members interested--especially those folks who have limited space.

Phooey! I missed/forgot!
I was eyeing that Fusamaru but got caught up in something else. Glad someone here got it.
