Good idea! He does have a phone number on the website. I forgot about the mid west storms. When I emailed him there was a really bad thunderstorm outside and it was headed east to Michigan and Ohio. We share storms in the upper Midwest!

His website also mentions he'll be in England in June, but it doesn't say specifically what dates, so maybe he's away.

Okay Jayfar, your wish is my command! On another tangent, Neofinetia Falcata plants are named to describe their characteristics, for example, I have a Neo with a name that translates to "filament of air". It would be interesting if the Chinese versions are described in another way? I was kidding about chow mein, but on second thought I can see a Neo named "pork fried rice".
I suppose I'm hungry for some Chinese food!

Yea! I just got an email from Glenn/New World Orchids. Hip hip hooray! When I get my new Neos, I'll post pictures of the new kids. I'm officially tapped out from buying anything on eBay!
As to the new auctions on eBay, I have a good friend, a member of my local orchid society, and avid eBay-er, is going to watch these auctions, he has been buying Sederia. We both realized on a couple of items we were bidding against each other !! He has a bidding robot that allows him to beat out other competitors at the last possible second. I asked him to bid on the two set Furan up for auction. I'm a bit skeptical that these apps work.

I don't like those apps. I think it is cheating because I have been beat a few times that way. I am computerly
challenged.

I agree Vanda, these apps kind of takes the thrill out of bidding. I'll see what happens to my friend's success. He swears his app works. I suppose vendors really don't care how you win their auction but that you pay for what you win! LOL

FYI, I got another email from Dr. Glenn Lehr/New World Orchids. They postponed their June trip to Europe. They are now planning to be in Europe July 21. So if you are in Europe, you might want to consider pre-ordering? Whilst those of us in the USA might have to wait a little longer for our new acquisition.

Got the in-bud Setsuzan without paying too much!

Oh, and another ebayer has a Neofinetia richardsiana. [Funny thing is this vendor, for most of the other Neos he sells, borrows wording for his descriptions verbatim from Seed Engei's descriptions for similar plants.]
|
Didn't get the richardsiana, as it got bid up higher than I was willing to pay for a small plant from an unknown vendor.
The Monday evening batch I'm leaving entirely to you guys.

Congratulations Jayfar! You have to post a picture!
I'm really not all that excited about auctions. I've been looking for "buy me now" plants and not get into all the hoopla with bidding. I say that yet I've asked a friend who is into eBay to bid on the two set Furan. He has an app that he swears helps him win auctions. We'll see!

I'm not sure how I'm going to go about this, but I will probably be selling a few plants if anyone's interested. As if you guys need to be spending more money...
