Quay, you are an excellent source of Neofacts and you are a very good photographer. So find two plants with the different variegations and post a picture. That will really help!

We have similar tastes it seems. I put in the first bid on this one and had my finger over the increase bid button in the last seconds. But I had set myself a $45 limit on this one and it took great willpower to stick to it. I had also been watching the Kinginrasha,as I like it‘s looks, but by that time I had already bought Kujyakumaru ,Daiseiryu and Hoshiguruma and forced myself to refrain.
Grow them well ( better than me I'm sure) and post pics from time to time.
How do you access the Seed Engei monthly list I've seem mentioned here. It is different from their regular on line catalog ,isn't it?

Yes, I don't know whether it's updated monthly, but it's a spreadsheet. The August one is the first I ever knew of. Email to seed_engei@yahoo.com to request a copy.
The online catalog is updated very infrequently. I know a specific plant that I bought 2 months ago still shows there as available (I'm sure they have other Seikai, but the one pictured in the online catalog lives with me).

Based on how you have your Neofinetia displayed, I think I can learn a lot from you! The three plants you acquired were plants I would have bid on, but I already own those plants. Yes, I think we have similar taste. But I really have to stop watching these eBay auctions as I end up buying!

If you don't mind my asking, what's your current Neo count Matt? I have a feeling you have a lot more than me by now. I'm holding at 22, as of a few minutes ago when my Suikaden arrived.
By the way, I noticed you really went to town on screw leaf varieties from speech1248 last month (you'd think I work for the NSA or something, eh?). Can you post a group pic sometime of just the screw leafs, maybe start a thread for that variety?

LOL Jayfar! Yeah, I really did go to town, my best friend told me I actually went overboard! I have now several screw leaf Neofinetia. And I will post them per your request in another thread. I have all of my Neofinetia organized in several categories: Leaf Type (like screw leaf), Tsuke (mountain, ocean wave, crescent-->don't have a straight), Flower type (no spur, one spur, two spurs-->no three spur flower--yet!), and flower color (white, pink, yellow, green, deep red).
Each of these plants are cross referenced by each specific type. I have them all organized into nursery trays, and these plants have trained me to water them on a rotation predicated on the last time they were watered, whether or not they are inside the screen in porch or outside, and what their last feeding.
I'm at work right now, so I cannot provide pictures, but when I get home, I'll post a photo or two.
Thanks Jayfar for asking--you will rue the day you asked!! LOL

I've not been active here for a year now and I've got a lot of catching up to do. I'm at the stage where I have to reduce my collection from 40+ to somewhere around half that and decisions about what to lose are tough. I just don't have enough space to give them all enough light.

Welcome back! Neodex, you might want to set up a listing of your orchids, we have a couple of people from your side of the ocean, one person, named Driese--from The Netherlands(?), is into Neofinetia. He was on the board looking for ways to acquire more, without spending a fortune--relatively speaking. Is it really difficult to acquire Neofinetia in Europe/UK?
I cannot imagine how difficult the process will be for you to decide which of the 40+ plants you want to re-home to someone else.
