I saw that one as well and thought it must be very rare & valuable because it is the most physically unappealing Neo I have ever seen. Go for it

Matt, I have one Ushiwakamaru, it does look weird, but the one for auction is particularly bad IMO!
I find it a difficult one to grow. Very slow, prone to disease. The 2 main characteristics of this form are the bumpy/contorted leaves and the tsuke which is a kind of mountain form but very irregular.
There are some nice plants in this auction round!

That one brings to mind the World's Ugliest Dog competitions. If there were an equivalent contest for Neos this one would certainly take the grand prize. That Ushiwakamaru looks like it was beaten with an ugly stick within an inch of its life! Seriously.

Hello s.kallima! Have you gotten your Ushiwakamaru to bloom? I suppose this plant would be a challenge to grow. There would be tremendous satisfaction in getting it to flourish. There are some nice plants up for auction in this round. The Kirin-maru is particularly nice and healthy.

Jayfar, that is exactly what I thought when I saw this plant.

Joy, your minmaru will get fatter rounder leaves once its in your care for a while. Your looks a little thin now but it'll be even cuter after a few new leaves grown in your house. Have you a nice place for them? They like Phal light on the high end, except the shima which could use a bit less.
