Ha ha, Red, you've never met me but already know me too well. My first thought logging in here was, "Oh, right, only Wednesday, need to check out Seed-Engei's eBay plants..."

Hi Joy! Did you get this one: "Sedirea Japonica/nice fragrant/variegated/(japaneseorchid)FUSAMARU-房丸"? Yea! Congratulations. If it is that one, I can't wait for you to get it to flower and then you must post pictures!

I know how much you have been wanting a Sederia. From the description and the sample picture I think you got a fine plant! Is it me or did you notice that many of the plants were won at reasonable prices? I wonder if we're heading into the lower season, where plants are not over bidded? I hope so!

I did not look at ebay the last couple of days so it looks like I may have lost out! It does seem before I have always been out bid--darn! Before I try more, I have noted that a couple of my Neo's new plant soots have stalled as has what looks like a flower shoot. Also, one of mine is sending out nw beautiful roots and new leaf growth. Most of mine have new leaf growth but no root growth yet.? Is this all normal in culture? I water them when dry. They are in bright Northfacing areas outside and only get sun dirrectly in the early to mid-morning. Thanks, Ted

Ted, unless your north-facing window is facing a glass-building that reflects light to your window, you will need more light. Can you move them to a south or east window?

Right now they are outside, North of the house, with some of my other shade loving orchids...Winter they can be cool under lights set up in the basement...or set up in a Southfacing Window...I can move them where they get more sun now.
