Also for buy it now, there are three Neofinetia Handbooks: 2003 edition, 2004 edition, and 2005 edition. Each one is $30.00.
Hmm, I see the books, but I'm not seeing any Neo plants. Or are you talking about a different ebayer for the plants?

EDIT: Oh, I see who you mean. The books are speech1248.

The plants are bill_joyce6ymz. He's the guy who, in some past listings, had borrowed descriptions verbatim from japanesorchids. He only has one negative feedback and that was from someone who thought a tiny Seiryujishi was too small (although I see it exactly as pictured): "Neos are miniature., The plant received is a micro mini." Duhr!!! I see in bill_joyce6ymz history as a buyer that up into last fall he purchased a lot of plants from japaneseorchids.

Ahh so, Jayfar, you make a great detective. I was wondering how s/he acquired theses plants. From what you say, I'm thinking that this eBay vendor is sort of a second tier vendor where they got Neos from the larger provider like Seed Engai, New World, and Orchid Web, divide their plants and repackage them into two growth plants. This would explain why some start off several dollars less than what Seen Engai would sell a plant. But smaller and with less growth.

I had the same feeling about another vendor that I bought my first four Neos. They were all so small. A month later I acquired larger Neos--a couple of them duplicates from my first purchase and realized that the first plants could be divided plants. There is nothing wrong with that because I was able to acquire these plants in expensively. But now that I know better, the smaller the plant the longer it will take to grow.

I bought a plant from this bill_joyce a couple of months ago. I paid for my purchase and it arrived within two days. The plant was well packaged, the shipping cost was reasonable, and the plant was and still is gorgeous.

I got 5 plants from this seller and they a great!
Se is a great Neo grower and is selling divisions of her own plants.

I checked out the ebay listings. If I'm correct, I believe she's one of my flickr contacts and I've communicated with her multiple times. She's a wonderful grower and has some fantastic plants.

Tracy, I finally logged on to this website via computer as opposed to using my iPad. When you use an iPad, especially via Tapatalk, you don't see all the other information on your signature, etc. I saw that you had a link in your signature "Fuukiran on Flickr". So I clicked on that link. OMG, you are a GREAT photographer and your NEOS are FANTASTIC. I think there is another Neofanatic named Jalajala? I wish I can remember her ID on this forum. I was so envious of her photography, wait...is that S. Kallima? Anyway, I just want to say, I'm so glad, You and Jalala post regularly on my neophyte pathetic newbie postings. And thank you for not thinking I'm such a total nut job!

Thanks, Matt. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos on my flickr set. Most of those in the set are older neo photos as I have not added any recent ones to it yet. I must say, you and Jayfar are some of the most thorough fuukiran researchers I've come across here in a while Nobody here thinks you are a nut job. I bet the growers who are NOT fuukiran fans, do believe we Neofanatics are ALL nut jobs for paying those prices on such little plants! Fine with me; I'm proud to be a Neo-nut-job. Also, there are no pathetic newbie postings here. Most of us started our collections with very small single growth plants (myself included) and they have grown nicely through the years with lots of patience and care. 5 years from now, you can look back at your little plants and be amazed how much they've changed. I think it's helpful for anyone who's grown these for several years to answer questions for the newbies, whether it be regarding culture or characteristics of different varieties. When I started, I had help regarding culture from the folks here but there was really nobody to ask questions to about varieties (other than my sensei).
