My reverse engineering of ebay feedbacks and bids tells me which Orchid Board member got it, but I won't blow his cover.

Yep, it was me. Sorry, I ended up bidding against you. But when you have a shot ya gotta go for it.
I have to agree with you on an earlier post. If your serious about getting a particular plant, it is best that you wait until the last final seconds to confirm your bid and pray it is higher than anyone else ends up bidding. Granted you don't have a chance if your bid ends up being too low, but if you did get the highest bid in no one else has enough time to out bid you and drive the price up even higher.

HA!!! There he is, the guy who saved me from overspending this week!
Be sure to post pics when it blooms.
By the way, the reverse engineering I speak of? Even though bidders' usernames are cloaked by ebay, they do show the bidders' feedback rating numbers. So all I do is make a mental note of that number and then I do a show all on the seller's feedback. Then I look through recent history for a past buyer who has that same rating. And there the names of users giving feedback are not cloaked.

I certainly will try to get a photo posted when it blooms. Hope my camera still works.
I am still in shock that I actually won it. Not with the price tag, but that I actually won it.

Is there a big orchid event going on in California? I haven't seen any eBay Seed Engei auctions and its been four days!
Hmmm I'm wondering if I'm getting the "I haven't bought a Neofinetia in a week and I'm feeling I need a fix" addiction withdrawal symptom?

I know the feeling. I was totally surprised I won a bid on eBay. But unlike you, I was the only bidder. But it was still thrilling and shocking when you win something. I don't normally bid, I look for "buy it now" items. Congratulations on your win. Please post a picture when you get it.

Thank you for this update s.kalima. I hope she has a good trip and brings back top ranked but inexpensive Neofinetias to delight and confound us.
