Our Neofinetia are pretty hardy plants but between your fire and my ice, I suppose we now know HOW hardy they are! My Nishidemiyako 西出都 is spiking! This plant seems to flower every six months.

On a darker note, the Homeiden and Nishidemiyako are replacements for the ones I roasted in the unfortunate space heater incident of last month.
Looking forward to my 2 latest ebay plants arriving later today.

I've added a group photo of the new plants, plus some individual pics, in my old collection thread:

Acquiring Neofinetias Via EBay
ahhh...you got hooked! I bought a similar flask back in July. You will be amazed how truly small they are. I have 28 seedlings in 11 small 2" pots. They have grown well. The largest plants have doubled in size while the smallest plants have also grown but not as quickly as the stronger plants. From what I can tell, these seedlings will take at least three years to get to bloom size. July 2014 would count as year one, July 2016 is probably when they will be large enough to bloom.

Thanks!!
The seller says that she has sold them in the past and all the buyers love the way they bloom. Her feed back rating 100%. So I trusted that.
Oh and also I just bought Ascofinetia Moonlight Firefly it appealed to me cuz of the orange color. I bought it in bud.

Oh I forgot to mention that the flask of neo.s was started in October 2011 so that would make them 2-3 years old??

If I'm wrong I hope someone corrects my understanding....I think time starts counting from the time the plants are deflasked and start growing into mature, blooming plants. My reasoning is akin to the birth of a human or any creature that we mark their age...we do not count a person's age while in gestation, right?

So here is a bid by bid commentary. The first plant, Kogane-Nishiki, has 12 bids? The beautiful and large Setzusan has no bids?
