Yes, I did acquire that Seiryujishi 青龍獅子. I was surprised that it was going that low in bidding. I already own this variety, this plant is bigger than the one I bought in July 2013.

Good luck on the Kuoen. It looks like a nice plant and displays all of the variegation touted for this variety.

Ooops, I missed the earlier post.

Its OK, I'll be seeing SE in person next week. Actually have not been actively looking at potential new plants because of the big show.

OMG satomi posted a sed minmaru shima! I think I'll bid on this one now that I've got their culture down. Has anyone seen it? It's a beauty.

Is it just me or did they never list this many plants (at the same time) before?

(Syntax is goofy but you know what I mean. Language skills depleted at the moment.)

Hi AnonYMouse! No, not just you, I woke this morning and saw that SE had 62 listings. That is the most they ever had at any one time.

You are fortunate you have access to SE via the big show. I'm planning on attending Jayfar's SEPOS show in April, he promises SE will be at his show too. It will be nice to meet Satomi.

Great! Are you going to put up a display? I recall you had a display that involved an elaborate trellis festooned with blooming orchids.

That is the one I was thinking about! That plant is inspirational. I think I read somewhere that the owner of this Koun had to regularly turn the plant so that all sides of the plant got a good doze of sunshine. That is dedication.

What's also remarkable to me is that the Kouen was NOT one of the top 5 winners apparently. But then again, I can't pretend to have a full grasp of Fukiran judging criteria.
