Thank you the MD said it would take 3 months for full recovery. I am sitting here worrying about Neos.

Thanks, but I eventually acquired one. It arrived with a broken spike, so I have to wait till summer for it to bloom.

I'm glad you were able to get one already.

Now if I can just get mine to bloom under my care. I'm hoping it wont be too many years away.

Ginger, your Neofinetia are basking in and probably doing very well in the grow environment you have them. So do not worry about your Neos!! I wish I lived closer to you so that I can help you care for them!

Heads up.

newworldorchids has added 6 plants for auction Monday morning, in addition to the few listed for tonight.

These are real nice too:

Koganenishiki 3 growth - tonight
Neofinetia Falcata Koganenishiki 3 Growth | eBay

Neofinetia falcata: Seionishiki 4 growth - Monday Morning
Neofinetia Falcata Seionishiki 4 Growth | eBay

I'll stick with my little single-growth Seionishiki for now.

I'm drooling for the Koganenishiki with one minor reservation - looking at the dried bases of lost leaves on the biggest growth, it appears that it dropped other than the bottom-most leaves twice. Minor nit though and it appears quite healthy at present.

EDIT: Teh google tells me Matt acquired one of these from SE last month at a bargain price.

LOL! You are a really excellent internet investigator. YES! I do have Kogane-Nishiki. I have one from Orchids Limited--acquired back in July and then again last month. My two are not as nice as the one up for bid from NWO.

But surprisingly no takers for any of the 3 plants offered tonight. Of course there were 3 others that would have been listed on ebay, but people scooped those up in response to the sneak preview on facebook.
