New plants up for bid on eBay. Out of fifteen plants proffered, only one caught my eye. What do you think of this plant--BENI-MUSOU 紅無双? Since I do not do well with Sederia japonica minmaru, I thought this one might be a good substitute? It is starting out at a higher price--$69.99, so it must be a little more precious than your average Amami!

I've got a single growth Beni-Musou; little bean leaf with slightly rough texture leaves. They've got a slightly nicer multi-growth Beni-Musou on on the regular SE website for 150.

15 more plants added for Saturday, including another Fuji-Nishiki. This one is 2 growths, but not quite as stunning as the single growth that Ginger scored last week.

So I logged into eBay to see how the bidding was going on the Fuji-Nishiki. It is now over US$152.00!! But only one person is bidding on it?? Does that mean others have bidded but this one person's bidding causes the rest of the bid to not register? OR is this person bidding against themselves? Why?

Weird! eBay must have an option for the bidder to remain private to the public I don't think anyone would bid against themselves.

You must be right on the privacy matter. I checked again and the bidding is being done by two people. My bad! But in my defense, their userid look very similar. This Fuji-Nishiki is not as nice looking as yours. I'm looking at the Fugaku right below it, I think that plant is better looking, larger, and healthier looking.

Fugaku is a good buy they are usually a healthy Neo and that one has beautiful variegation. I love mine it bloomed like crazy this summer. . Also that Suruga-Fukurin is just lovely with the marginal stripe; it is also a a strong. Grower. Mine just thrives. There are great options with this group...enjoy.
