Yes. I have read instructions from the clay manufacturers to use a sturdy baking sheet, like you would use for cookies, and dedicate that sheet to just baking the pot and don't use it to bake food.

Ironically, I have all the supplies and equipment to make pots but just haven't gotten around to it. So much to do! I used be a potter, so the concept of using polymer clay is fascinating to me because of its simplicity.
