My pleasure Matt I am sharing the joy. I think the traditionalist will not appreciate a Chicago Cubs pot but it is just for fun. I will get it off to you tomorrow

Ginger? Hello Ginger? GINGER!
Hey Ginger!
Hey Ginger, You're so Fine, You're So FINE, you blow my mind!
Hey Ginger, HEY GINGER!!!!!
Can you tell I'm doing a happy dance? OH MY GOODness! I got such a great gift waiting at my door step, opened it, and found a beautiful Chicago Cubs Neofinetia falcata pot. It is unique and one of a kind. And I am so grateful, Ginger.

Hey Ginger, HEY GINGER!!!!!
Your kindness made my spirit soar. I had an awful day, a good friend passed away unexpectedly last Friday of a heart attack. I was late coming home because I stopped by the funeral home to wish him good bye. His beautiful wife and children where there. They were happy to see me. But I was so sad for them.
Greg smoked like a chimney, he and I were trying to get back in shape by walking regularly. If you read this note. PLEASE STOP SMOKING. Please walk, exercise, loose the extra pound. See your doctor regularly.

You have me grinning Matt I am so happy you like it. That is all i wanted. . My husband said as a Cub's fan you would like it.
Really sorry about your friend that is so hard especially when he may have prevented his illness by not smoking. Will send good thoughts up for him, his family and friends.

So sorry to hear about your friend, Matt. I'm sure you will be there for his family.
Please post a pic of one of your plants in your new pot when you have a chance.

Matt my sympathies to you and your friend's family. So sad that he's leaving his kids behind. Every morning I wake up at 5 and work out-- I don't smoke, I'm a vegetarian, and I've been threatened by the big C several times in my relatively short life thus far. Having a wife and a daughter depending on me and loving me gets me up every morning, forces me to eat really well and even though I'm often just so tired to work out, I will still lift those weights and run those miles for my will to live and to love my family. The big C tries to do its thing, but I won't let it. And whether you have a wife or kids is really no matter-- there are still people who love you and you OWE it to them to be healthy so they can have you a part of their life.
Again, I'm sorry for the loss of your friend, remember him fondly.... as you live a healthier and fuller life in his honor.

So well said Ryan we have a responsibility to those who love & need us. I hold these old bones together for my grown daughter who still needs her mother plus I want to see grand babies.

I've not been active hear for a while and I've got a lot of catching up to do ! This thread is so cool. I started an evening pottery course a few years back with the idea of making neo pots. I'm inspired to know I'm not the only neo-nut to do this ... it's really good fun !
I've also learned a good trick right here. As I'm doing stoneware (mostly), I'm glazing my pots and for me this is hit and miss. So I've accumulated some pots with really nasty glazing, for example sh*t brown. You guys gave me the idea of painting them. I found a type of paint that you paint on and fire in a domestic oven and the result is dishwasher resistant. Cheers,
Tim
