¥ to US$ exchange rate is one Yen to one Cent. It is conceivable you can get a very fine Neopot for less than what we would pay stateside. I remember visiting Italy before the Euro and I felt RICH.

Ginger, have you looked at Washi paper designs? I think you'd like them.

I go to SF Japantown occasionally but have yet to find them! Not even cym pots! Plenty of Bonsai pots but they are not dissimilar to ones found at the garden center.

Did you not buy any gasoline? I cried.

Thumbs up New Homemade Fuukiran Pot

I must say, I think it is a wonderful pot! You have commented that it doesn't look really good like you wanted but then you took it to heart to learn from that and improve what you do for next time. Great! I love the color and the design as well as the painting. Great job; now go on to the next one! I could make a pot as well but I bet it wouldn't be as fine as that one.

Smile, you are correct I have become challenged by these pots trying my best to improve them. Certainly they do not compare to the real pots but they look good to me in my growing area and the plants are thriving. Thanks for the kind words. Jump on in and give it a try it is fun if you like doing crafts.

I could try...I looked at what I need, or get my artistic adult daughter to make some too. I am a bit disabled, brain tumor and stroke yet I can do a lot of things!
