This is the result of using bit and pieces of left over clay to make the pot. It turned out so pretty I think I will just sand and glaze it; forget about the paint

Does your husband have any rotary tools like a Dremel? If so, you can buy a diamond cut wheel for 10 bucks and it'll cut through bottle glass very quickly-- I had this mold cut in about five minutes with ear plugs and safety goggles on (don't forget those! Cutting glass can be dangerous if you don't have eye protection...and it's LOUD).
