Yup, the feet mess me up as well. It helped so much when Ryan told me to fire each step before moving on. I sit the pot upside down and work on the feet and fire them that way after I've made sure that they are even. My first pot leaned....lol....I still use it though.

I can get it level, but it's so hard to make 1 nice foot, let alone 3 identical ones!

Of you're trying to do the flat feet and not the sumo feet, prepare three flat pieces and place them atop one another and with a sharp knife cut through all three pieces. They will be identical and you can make them much faster. Don't go too slowly though as the polymers will want to bind.

Adrienne this is the pot I was telling you about in email:
And another I've made.
More shots. The gold paint likes to soak into crevices. The effect becomes one that looks like gold thread is woven into the rim.

Hmm...ten or so. I've come up with some solid methods that's yielding consistent and sturdy pots so I'm not trying to repot all of mine and will then make some for others. (Except quay, he's just so good he gets to have Unfinished ones I've already made). I make the pots with the plant in mind. For instance, kinrokaku has a green and gold pot...very much reminiscent of the plant itself. Seikai is in a pot that has a wave life pattern in the lattice and so on.

You are simply fantastic. I have one in the oven now. The rim turned out perfect thanks for your tip. I found a liquid clay glue that you bake at Michaels that works so well I don't have to put that strip under the rim to support it. Check it out.
